Catherine McAuley met the needs of young women many years ago in
Ireland. She provided a safe, wholesome and nurturing atmosphere in which the young
women of her day could develop to their potential.
Today in Brooklyn, and in society in general, young women need the
opportunity for quality education more than ever. They need a safe environment in
which they can learn and grow.
Catherine McAuley High School has provided these opportunities for the
young women of Brooklyn since 1942. Students, faculty, parents, guardians, and
administration make up "The McAuley Family." Together, we create an
atmosphere that meets the needs of the young women of today, and prepares them to be the
leaders of tomorrow.
