Consider the Advantages of an All-Girls' School...

Every girl deserves the chance to recognize the unique possibilities within her.  At McAuley, there are many female role models.  Every honor student, class president, and basketball player is a girl.  Everything at McAuley teaches young women that there is no limit to what they can achieve.

According to a study on single-sex education...

  • Girls attending all-girls' Catholic high schools do better academically than girls in private co-ed schools.
  • Girls in all-girls' high schools have higher educational aspirations and greater self-respect.
  • All-Girls' Schools show positive effects on student attitudes toward academics.
  • In all-girls' schools, academic gains, especially in reading and science Achievement, were significant
  • Girls in all-girls' schools are more likely to take more Math and Science courses, given them a wider choice of careers.

After Graduation...

McAuley isn't just a school.  McAuley prepares students for life.  Each year, most of our graduates ( 90% - 100% ) are accepted to college.  Recent graduates of McAuley are attending New York University, City College, Duquesne University, Howard University, Pratt Institute, Penn State University, Polytechnic University, and the various schools of the City and State University Systems of New York.

We also maintain a strong alumnae network.  Alumnae regularly return to McAuley to mentor students and lead workshops.  McAuley alumnae have entered such fields as accounting, education, engineering, insurance, law, medicine, real estate, and technology.
